Burkey Construction Co. was the general contractor for the construction of this two-story 36,350 square foot class “A” office building located on the corner of Perkiomen Avenue and East Neversink Road in Exeter Township near Mt. Penn, PA.
Burkey’s role involved the construction of a building shell and core entry area including stairs, elevator, and restrooms on both levels.
The building is a self-supporting structural steel frame system with metal stud exterior walls, EIFS, stone veneer, and curtain wall windows and storefronts. The roof consists of pre-engineered wood roof trusses with EPDM roofing and a 24-gauge standing seam roof.
The lower level lobby consists of polished granite floors. The stairs and upper level lobby are carpeted. The restrooms have ceramic tile floor and walls and granite countertops with full-length mirrors.
