Reading Public Museum

Burkey Construction Co. was construction manager for the $4,128,000 expansion and renovation of the Reading Public Museum, designed by Der Scutt Architects.

The project included complete infrastructure renovation, including all new mechanical and electrical systems, and complete renovation of gallery areas, as well as construction of a new limestone entry building and gift shop.

Unique features of the new entry building and gift shop include oak paneling, imported Italian marble floor, custom designed skylights, and bronze and glass entry wall.

This project was funded, in part, by a community-wide capital campaign.
