Construction of the $17.4 million apartment building at 135 Washington Street in downtown Reading is complete. The 59-unit facility is constructed using the Tradeready joist system and prefabricated metal stud framed wall panels. The structure is built over a conventional steel framed ground-level parking garage.
Each luxury apartment is heated and cooled with individual energy efficient units and has floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and bedrooms. Each of the 44 two-bedroom apartments has two bathrooms and is 1,316 square feet. The remaining 15 one-bedroom apartments are 1,034 square feet.
The complex features secure parking, an outdoor raised garden deck for entertaining, and a community room with exercise equipment.
The GoggleWorks Apartments, which is part of Reading’s downtown revitalization, is one of the components of Entertainment Square, which includes The GoggleWorks Art Center and RC Reading Movies 11.
