Burkey Construction recently completed the $3.3 million renovation to the Albright College kitchen and dining hall during the summer break. The work included total interior demolition of their existing facilities leaving only the shell of the original building. The plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems are new as well. The renovated space brings an entirely new dining experience to the students. The kitchen includes a brick oven pizza area, a grill area, deli area, bakery, salad bar, gluten-free area, and vegetarian area among others. The dining area now has raised seating areas with booths, banquette seating, and bar-style counters and chairs. The dishwashing room was relocated as well to create better flow of traffic as students are leaving the area.
